Our Story
Ours is a story built on lived experience and driven by a belief that adventure belongs to everyone.

I’ve spent my life proving that disability doesn’t define what’s possible.
I’ve navigated airports, lodges, and game parks in my wheelchair for over three decades. I’ve experienced the frustration of inaccessible travel firsthand, and I’ve learned how to overcome every barrier along the way.
I created Able Africa because I spent years wishing a company like this existed. Now it does.
When I design your safari, I’m not guessing about accessibility. I’m drawing on a lifetime of lived experience. I know what works, what doesn’t, and what makes the difference between a trip that’s possible and one that’s unforgettable.

Why Able Africa Exists
For too long, travelers with disabilities have had to choose between adventure and accessibility. They've been told "it's not possible" or offered watered-down experiences that don't come close to the real thing.
Able Africa exists to change that.
We believe that witnessing a lion pride at sunrise, floating over the Mara or Serengeti in a hot air balloon, or feeling the spray of the Indian Ocean belongs to everyone, regardless of mobility, disability, or age. We're not a traditional safari company that added an "accessible option." We're a company built from the ground up by someone who lives this reality every day. Accessibility isn't our add-on; it's our foundation.
